The process to rent Assistive Technology at Access Tech is designed to be simple, flexible, and supportive. We’re here to help you find the right Assistive Technology (AT) that best meets your needs, whether short-term, or long-term.

Here's how it works

The process to rent Assistive Technology at Access Tech is designed to be simple, flexible, and supportive.

1. Explore and Choose Your AT Equipment

After you’ve discussed with your Allied Health team what Assistive Technology (AT) device will help you live the life you choose. Start by browsing our selection of high-quality, refurbished Assistive Technology devices or fill out our enquiry form and our team can help guide you toward the most suitable equipment based on your individual needs and preferences.

We’ve organised our library items into 3 categories, based on who is best placed to hand over the Assistive Technology. This approach ensures people can access and use the equipment safely and with confidence.

Category A: Low Risk – Therapy Assistant and/or Rental Officer Handover

  • “Off the shelf” or items requiring minimal adjustment
  • Simple orientation and handover

Category B: Medium Risk – Therapist Handover or Product Specialist

  • The therapist must be confident and familiar with the equipment

Category C: High Risk / Specialist Therapist and/or Clinician Handover

  • Highly specialized Assistive Technology where there is a risk of injury or reduced performance if the equipment is not set-up and handed over with the correct adjustments, guidance and monitoring.
    • An Access Tech Clinician or Therapist should be involved

2. Receive and Start Using Your Equipment

Once you’ve selected your AT, our team ensures it’s delivered directly to you or your nearest Access Tech partner location. Each device undergoes thorough cleaning, testing, and refurbishment, at our state-of-the-art facilities.

3. Ongoing Support and Adjustments

Throughout the rental period, we offer ongoing support and are available to make adjustments if your needs change. Our team remains committed to ensuring your AT continues to meet your expectations.

4. Renewal, Return, or Purchase Option

At the end of your rental term, you’ll have the choice to renew, return, or, in some cases, purchase your equipment if it’s the right long-term fit. We prioritise flexibility and accessibility, ensuring that you can make the best decision for your situation.
