About Ability WA
Ability WA is pleased to be joining NovitaTech (South Australia) and St. Giles (Tasmania) in a national AT pilot with a focus on appropriate and quality AT provision to enhance independence for people under 65.
Who we are
Ability WA is a leading not-for-profit disability service provider that has supported Western Australians for 75 years.
Fully NDIS registered, Ability WA delivers high-quality, personalised services to people living with disability and their families. Our comprehensive, wrap-around supports include therapy services, early childhood intervention, home and living services, community programs, employment pathways and assistive technology solutions.
AbilityTECH is a specialist service of Ability WA, combining clinical expertise and technical capability to deliver custom assistive solutions and equipment services that support independence and participation.
With several locations across the Perth metropolitan area, Ability WA provides flexible service delivery at our hubs, in schools, community settings and via telehealth – ensuring support is accessible, responsive and centred on each person’s goals.
What we do
Access Tech in Western Australia is proudly supported by AbilityTECH, a comprehensive workshop service that is part of Ability WA. AbilityTECH is certified to ISO9001-2015 and follows the essential principles of the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
Did you know you don’t need to have an Ability WA therapist to access AbilityTECH and Access Tech services? Working together with your prescribing therapist, our in-house clinical advisor, team of engineers, technicians and upholsterers at AbilityTECH- we can create customised solutions to meet your individualised needs.
Other unique services include equipment repairs and modifications, individualised seating and upholstery that is completed here in WA. We even have a digital accessibility hub with WA’s most comprehensive range of custom controllers and devices available to trial so customers can enjoy access to their digital community, whether for work or leisure, with greater comfort and accessibility.
AbilityTECH is a proud partner in the provision of quality AT through the AssisTkids Specialised Equipment Library, Ability First Access TECH equipment pilot, and our workshop services are available to all Western Australians with different abilities.
