A Trial Program for Assistive Technology Refurbishment and Rental
An initiative of Ability First Australia, Access Tech is a pilot program to make assistive technology (AT) more available for people with disability.
Access Tech will allow people to rent or purchase refurbished assistive technology, making it simpler, faster, and more affordable.
The pilot is open to anyone under the age of 65 with a disability, not just those on the NDIS, and aims to support more people to participate fully in their communities.
Access Tech will first be tested in South Australia and Tasmania, with plans to expand later.
